Old Nauvoo, Ward Christmas Party

The 4th ward held it's annual Christmas party on Wednesday,

December 16. There was a great turnout and everyone had a good time and more than enough to eat.

We were able to get a glimps of life in old Nauvoo. We learned to make ornaments as they may have back then, played outdoor games, tried our eye at a shooting gallery, purchased items at the "Red Brick Store", buy baked goods at the "Souvil Bakery and lots more.

Bishop Burton and other members gathered together to play carols to all present. They were certainly rocking the place. Kudos to the Mesquite 4th Ward band.
More pictures to come.

Ward Christmas Party

The Ward elves have been busy planning a party. Come one, come all and spread the word, and be there to celebrate. You ask when, where and who? Wednesday, December 16th at 6:00 p.m. at the stake center. No excuses now, see ya there!

Some of the Young Women and their leaders recently stopped by to visit with Diana Frehner and share culinary skills.

This picture was sent as proof that those who do their callings and serve others are appreciated. By the way, this plate was originally full of cookies. Apparently, they were appreciated as well.

Everything is just "Peachy"

Everything is "peachy" with the Mia Maids as of late. Kayla Twede, Tara Hansen, and Laura Bonnor met at Sister Johnson’s home to talk about their personal progress and to make goals for achieving their progress. They had promised to meet in a few weeks to evaluate their progress.
After all the talk, they had a dessert. However, they had to prepare it for themselves. They were taught the ways to peel and slice a peach for the best results. When finished they were able to enjoy the fruits (no pun intended) of their labors. There is nothing like peaches and crème. Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm!
